Overview:
The Chick-fil-A Supply Chain Team is INNOVATING our Supply Chain model of the future to PREPARE for MORE GROWTH and EFFICIENCY.  You will be solving to increase capacity and delivery capability to meet the high demands of our restaurants and franchisees.  You will be pioneering systems, solutions and platforms for the next generation of Supply Chain at Chick-fil-A and beyond.
 
Be an impactful enabler of Supply Chain progress by successfully engaging the rest of the organization in their initiatives. Deep Supply Chain experience is NOT necessary, but broad exposure through such areas as manufacturing or consumer goods is preferred.  We are looking for someone with significant experience leading innovation, creative work and teams. You will leverage your expertise in Front-End Innovation, Design Thinking, LEAN and Six Sigma practices.
 
You may come from a corporate innovation or design function. It is equally likely you may have sharpened your skills working for, or launching, a start-up. You need to be a charismatic leader who is both likable to be around and wicked smart. You will be in a position where speaking in front of large groups is second nature, so you must be comfortable in front of audiences.
 
At least initially, you will be leading more work than people, but will evolve as the department grows. You must be highly astute in design thinking and project management, along with being articulate in LEAN-innovation and the principles of intrapreneurship.

Responsibilities:
Direct a multi-functional team across the Chick-fil-A Enterprise to include Suppliers, Distribution partners, and Franchise Operators

  • Engage the stakeholders in the analysis, design and implementation of the initiatives

  • Create vision, strategy, and objectives for Suppy Chain Innovation at Chick-fil-A

Partner with internal Project Managers to co-create project plans that specifically:

  • Actively manage project pipeline and portfolio of innovation initiatives for Supply Chain

  • Ensure the Design Thinking process is followed 

Shape a competency and culture of Innovation in Supply Chain at Chick-fil-A: 

  • Use training, events, and internal consulting to drive new ways of problem solving to accelerate and increase innovation 

  • Promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking, innovation, and collaborative work

Communicate with leadership teams:

  • Influence project priorities and recommend specific opportunities to pursue 

  • Focus on objectives that will add the most value to the organization

  • Consistently deliver results that meet or exceed expectations

Seek, share and adopt new ideas and best practices from inside and outside the company:

  • Remain current with relevant Supply Chain trends outside the company

  • Leverage external partners and resources to continuously improve our systems

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in innovation/product or design/leadership

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory position

  • Extremely strong leadership experience managing, leading and inspiring teams

  • Experience leading organizations in doing things they've never done before

  • Strong understanding of innovation processes and design aptitude

  • Effective project and program management skills

  • Broader exposure to the supply chain along with facilitation, problem-solving, negotiation, relationship-building and analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external resources 

  • Professional history of innovation accomplishments 

  • Strong relationship-building skills with a proven track record of accomplishing work effectively in a multi-functional team environment

  • Proven success in ability to manage and develop talent, while balancing accomplishment of significant work milestones, metrics, and goals with a strong bias for action and getting results

Travel Requirements: 25%
Prior Supervisory Experience: 5+ Years
