POSITION DESCRIPTION
Lead User Experience Design for PINK Nation and PINK eCommerce engagement-driver projects. Drive innovation in interface and interaction design for the new functionality and enhancements for PINK online shop and PINK Nation site & app via Lean UX and Agile. Intimately understand the inner workings of the area of focus, competitive space and the customer. Craft digital experiences that are effortless, iconic, emotional and effective, enhancing our Supermodel of brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive creation of best-in-class user experiences
• Contribute seasonal concepts & ideation for merchant, marketing and digital initiatives
• Research and rapidly design functional solutions to enhance the customer experience
• Lead Design Studio exercises to generate ideas collectively
• Design final user interfaces leveraging VS/PINK standards and best practices
• Collaborate with development team on technical recommendations
• Navigate the site often to understand the customer journey and uncover areas of opportunity
• Create specifications as needed
• Drive creation of best-in-class user experiences
• Maintain Digital Style Guide (wiki) and UI Inventory

Support Customer Research and Usability Testing
• Collaborate with our User Testing Analysts in the design of testing experiments
• Lead the gathering of assumptions and development hypotheses
• Contribute interview questions, comps & prototypes
• Explore variations in microinteractions for optimal clarity throughout the experience
• Observe usability sessions & focus on extracting key learns to optimize the experience
• Develop further iterations based on user feedback

Research Competitive Patterning
• Participate in structured patterning exercises to Identify best-in-class functionality from the competition
• Understand reports that aggregate findings based on larger usability sessions and expert research
• Maintain quantitative and qualitative documentation of patterning

Front End Build QA
• Leverage tools efficiently to communicate enhancement specification & capture defects (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
• Work side-by-side with a Front End Web Development to build and validate all visual/functional enhancements
• Ensure visual & interactive integrity of front-end build
• Validate all UI states have been implemented to specifications & standards

Presentation Support
• Prepare decks as needed for better communication of a concept
• Partner with various creative leads to organize layouts and deliver for executive presentation

QUALIFICATIONS
• Passionate advocate for usability & user experience
• UI, visual design and interaction design expertise
• Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiences
• Working understanding of ecommerce and usability best practices
• Collaborative, inclusive and flexible team member
• Resourceful self-starter who gets things done
• Highly organized with extreme attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, constructive approach

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s Degree (Design / Interactive) or equivalent design experience
• 3-5 years web design experience
• Mastery of appropriate tools & technology, including advanced Photoshop and working knowledge of Illustrator
• Understanding of the capabilities and best practices relating to the use of front-end Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with prototyping tools
• Retail/fashion brand or agency experience desired; ecommerce experience ideal
• Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design
• Design for tablet & mobile UI
